President, CEO and Chairman
FDX Corporation

Dear Mr. Smith,

The purpose of this letter is to express my utter disgust and disappointment with the Fedex Ground subsidiary of FDX Corporation.

It is my opinion that you, meaning FDX, have made an egregious and costly mistake in applying the Fedex brand to the pitiful excuse for a company formerly known as RPS. In several experiences with both RPS and Fedex Ground, I have NEVER had a package delivered on time. This is inexcusable! Clearly, the RPS business model has not changed--at least not quickly enough for me, the consumer. As a result, I will NEVER utilize the services of Fedex Ground OR standard Fedex EVER AGAIN. Furthermore, I will never patronize any company who uses you as their shipping supplier.

Now, Mr. Smith, I'm not naive enough to think that you are personally reading this letter. But I'm going to pretend for a moment--just for fun--that you are. I imagine you sitting there in an oversized leather chair looking out at the Mississippi delta, and you're probably grimacing in disgust because you know that I'm right. You know that you're a damned fool--and worse--a greedy bastard for thinking you could turn around a hapless company like RPS with nothing more than your Fedex name. Or, the more likely scenario is that you don't give a crap and think I--the peon individual consumer--am the fool for wasting my time to complain. In fact, I bet you're having yourself a good laugh over this letter. Well, you laugh it up Mr. Smith! You laugh it up now because I'm not the only individual who feels this way. You're going to lose plenty of business as a result of this Fedex Ground mess, mark my word. Especially with hungry, proficient competitors out there like UPS, you're in BIG TROUBLE.

If you have any interest in convincing me to give any Fedex company another chance, feel free to have one of your tens of thousands of subordinates call me anytime at 303-306-1288. Thank you for your time and I hope you scrap that silly Fedex Ground business or else shape it up pronto.

Sincerely,

Steve Dupont
